Chuy's Creamy Jalapeno Cilantro Dip Dressing

This creamy dip blends sour cream and mayonnaise with pickled jalapeños, cilantro, and ranch seasoning to deliver a bright, tangy flavor with a pleasant mild heat. The optional addition of tomatillos adds a subtle tartness, while buttermilk thins the dip to a smooth, pourable consistency suitable for dressing. It refrigerates well and complements dishes needing a fresh, spicy dressing or dip.

Description

Chuy's Creamy Jalapeno Cilantro Dip Dressing starts with a base of sour cream and mayonnaise combined with a dry ranch dip mix and garlic salt for savory depth. Fresh cilantro and pickled jalapeños are pureed together to create a vibrant, herbaceous, and mildly spicy paste. This puree is stirred into the creamy base, and buttermilk is added to adjust thickness to preference, producing a smooth, pourable consistency. Optional fresh lime juice and tomatillos can be incorporated for additional brightness and slight acidity. This dressing offers a balance of creaminess, fresh herbal brightness, and mild heat from the jalapeños, making it suitable for salads, as a dip for vegetables, or a sauce for grilled meats. It should be refrigerated until served, allowing flavors to meld.
