Ciabatta Pizza Loaf

The Ciabatta Pizza Loaf transforms a rustic Italian bread into a handheld pizza loaded with a blend of provolone, mozzarella, fontina, and Parmesan cheeses melted over marinara sauce seasoned with dried basil and oregano. Sprinkled with mini pepperoni and fresh herbs after baking, it offers a crispy bread base with a golden, bubbly cheese topping. This recipe is ideal when you want the flavors of pizza in a form that's easy to slice and share.

Description

Ciabatta pizza loaf offers a creative twist by using a halved loaf of ciabatta bread as the base. The olive oil and garlic powder brushed on the bread add depth before layering with marinara sauce infused with dried herbs. A rich blend of four cheeses provides a creamy, melty texture complemented by mini pepperoni for a touch of meaty flavor. Baking at a high temperature melts the cheeses to a golden brown and crisps the bread edges. Fresh basil, oregano, and extra Parmesan sprinkled afterward add brightness and an herbal finish.

This loaf is sliced after baking, making it a convenient dish for serving at casual meals or parties. Its balance of tomato sauce, cheeses, and herbs echoes classic pizza flavors while offering the chewy crumb and open texture distinctive to ciabatta bread.
