Cilantro Lime Rice Pilaf
Description
The Cilantro Lime Rice Pilaf starts by sautéing diced white onion in olive oil to bring out its sweetness before adding the rice to toast lightly. Cooking the rice in chicken broth infuses it with savory depth while retaining a fluffy texture once the liquid is absorbed. The finishing touch of lime juice and fresh chopped cilantro provides a fresh, tangy brightness that balances the mild flavor of the rice. Optional butter adds a smooth richness, enriching the overall mouthfeel of the dish.
This flavorful pilaf pairs well with a variety of main dishes, particularly grilled meats or fish, making it a versatile addition to a meal. Its subtle seasoning and fresh herbs also allow it to complement spicier or more robust dishes without overpowering them.
