Cinnamon Cornflake Squares

Report
Cinnamon Cornflake Squares are cereal-based bars made by binding lightly crushed corn flakes with a warm mixture of peanut butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and corn syrup. The bars are topped with melted milk chocolate and optional flaky salt, combining crunchy, sweet, and spiced flavors in a portable treat.

Description

This recipe creates Cinnamon Cornflake Squares using corn flakes gently crushed and mixed into a warmed syrup of brown sugar, cinnamon, corn syrup, peanut butter, and butter. The warm mixture is pressed firmly into a parchment-lined baking dish to form a solid base. After cooling briefly, melted milk chocolate is spread over the top and allowed to set.

The bars offer a crunchy texture from the corn flakes with the sweetness and spiced warmth of cinnamon woven through the binding syrup. The milk chocolate topping adds a creamy contrast, while flaky salt can be sprinkled to balance sweetness and enhance flavor.

The squares are served at room temperature and are convenient for snacking or casual desserts. Their sturdy texture makes them easy to transport and enjoy on the go.

Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container and consumed within one week. Melting the chocolate gently is important; heating in short intervals prevents burning to maintain smoothness and gloss.
