Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies combine cream cheese and butter for a tender, rich dough coated in cinnamon sugar. Baking yields soft cookies with a delicate crumb and a sweet-spiced cinnamon crust. The cream cheese adds moisture and a subtle tang, distinguishing these cookies from standard sugar cookies. They offer a comforting texture ideal for teatime or snacking.

Description

This recipe starts by creaming room-temperature butter and cream cheese until smooth, then gradually mixing in powdered sugar. An egg, baking powder, vanilla, and salt are added before folding in flour to form a dough that is chilled briefly to firm up. Dough balls are rolled in cinnamon and sugar before baking at 375°F for 8-9 minutes, allowing the cookies to set without overbaking.

The finished cookies are soft with a slight cinnamon crunch outside and a creamy, tender interior due to the cream cheese. The cinnamon-sugar coating provides an aromatic sweetness that enhances the subtle tang and richness of the dough.

These cookies are best cooled before serving to let them firm properly. They work well as an everyday treat or dessert and can be paired with coffee or tea. Their balanced sweetness and texture make them satisfying without overpowering the palate.
