Description

  • 375 g puff pastry
  • 40 g butter room temperature
  • 40 g light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 orange (zest only)
  • 1 egg whisked
  • 2 tablespoon icing sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water cold
  • pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C/160°C(fan)/350°F/Gas 4. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Mix together 40 g Butter, 40 g Light brown sugar, 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon and zest of 1 Orange to form a paste.
  3. Spread the paste evenly over 375 g Puff pastry.
  4. Roll the pastry up and slice into ten equal pieces. Put onto the lined baking tray and brush with 1 Egg. Cook for 20 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoon Icing sugar and 1 tablespoon Cold water.
  6. Drizzle the cooked swirls with the icing and sprinkle over the chopped Pecans.

Notes

  • Enhance the icing by adding orange zest for extra citrus aroma and flavor.
  • Add cocoa powder to the cinnamon sugar mix to create a chocolate cinnamon variation.
