Classic Cobb Salad Recipe

Cobb Salad Dressing

  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground

Cobb Salad Ingredients

  • 8-10 cups romaine lettuce washed and chopped
  • 2 cups watercress Washed with the thick stems removed
  • 3 egg hard-boiled
  • 4 lices Black Forest ham
  • 1-2 cups cherry tomato
  • 1 large avocado sliced or diced
  • 2 cups chicken breast sliced or diced, cooked
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese

Instructions

Cobb Salad Dressing Instructions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients into a lidded mason jar and shake. Taste, and adjust the seasonings to your liking. ( more salt, more mustard, pepper, etc.) Set aside.

Cobb Salad

  1. Place the Romaine and the watercress onto a large platter. Place the other ingredients on top.
  2. Drizzle with the dressing.
  3. Serve.

Notes

  • This recipe is a meal for 4 people. Adjust the amounts to your own needs.
