Ingredients
- 2 cups quinoa
- 2 cups Orgain Organic Protein Almond Milk® we used the vanilla-flavored, lightly sweetened variety
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup Toasted Coconut
- 1 cup dried cherries
- 1 tablespoon honey optional, for additional sweetness
Instructions
- In a large saucepan combine 2 cups quinoa (wash before adding), 3 cups water, 1 cup Orgain Organic Protein Almond Milk®, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1 cup dried cherries. Bring to boil.
- After five minutes has elapsed, reduce heat and cover pot. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, add cooked quinoa, 1 cup Orgain Organic Protein Almond Milk®, slivered almonds, and honey. Stir until just mixed. Add toasted coconut immediately before serving.
