Ingredients
Cake:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup white sugar of
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 20 oz crushed pineapple plus juice, can of
- 1 cup walnuts chopped
Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1 butter softened, cube
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Make the cake by combining all ingredients, including pineapple juice then mix thoroughly. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
- Place into the oven to bake for 30-35 minutes, until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and cool completely on a cooling rack.
- Make the cream cheese frosting by combining all ingredients and beat with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Once the cake has cooled completely, spread the frosting evenly over the cake Ice the cake.
- Garnish the top with a sprinkle of nutmeg for more spice, if desired. Enjoy.
