Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Slice your croissants in half, but don't slice all the way through.
  4. Place 2 pieces of cookie dough inside each croissant.
  5. Top the middle of each croissant with another piece of cookie dough.
  6. Break apart the remaining cookie dough and place it on the ends of the croissants.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the cookie dough on top is just golden.

Notes

  • While chocolate chip cookie dough is always a winner, you can experiment with other flavors.
  • Keep a close eye on your croissants while they're in the oven. You want the cookie dough to be gooey and the croissants to be golden brown, but don't overbake.
  • These cookie dough croissants are best served fresh from the oven while the dough is still warm and melty.
  • This recipe uses store-bought cookie dough, typically made with pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour. This makes it safe to eat without being fully baked. However, if you're using homemade cookie dough, make sure to use pasteurized eggs and heat-treat your flour to ensure food safety.
