Cookies And Cream Fudge

Cookies And Cream Fudge combines crushed chocolate sandwich cookies folded into a smooth white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk mixture, creating a dense, creamy candy with crunchy cookie bits. The fudge is gently heated until melted, then mixed with cookie pieces for a balanced texture. This fudge can also be made in the microwave for convenience. It’s an indulgent treat that blends familiar cookie flavors with a rich, sweet base, suitable for gifting or enjoying as a snack.

Description

Cookies And Cream Fudge is made by combining white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, and salt over medium-low heat until melted and smooth. Vanilla extract is stirred in for added flavor. Crushed chocolate sandwich cookies are prepared in two groups: one with vanilla frosting and cookie pieces combined, and one with cookie pieces alone, both roughly broken for texture.

The larger crushed cookie mixture is gently folded into the melted white chocolate blend, providing a creamy base studded with cookie chunks. The mixture is quickly poured into a parchment-lined pan to set. The resulting fudge presents a contrast between the creamy white chocolate sweetness and the crunchy chocolate cookie bits.

The recipe also offers a microwave method to melt the ingredients, allowing for a quicker preparation while maintaining the fudge’s texture. This fudge is ideal for those who enjoy combining classic sandwich cookies with a sweet confection.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 20 chocolate sandwich cookies divided like Oreos, I used Double Stuffed Oreos
  • 3 cups white chocolate chips
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk 1 can
  • 3 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Line a square 8 x 8 inch baking dish or square baking pan with parchment paper and set to the side.
  2. Place 15 chocolate cookies in a zip-top bag. Remove the vanilla frosting from the remaining five cookies and place the frosting in the bag full of 15 cookies. Set the remaining chocolate cookie pieces in a separate zip-top bag.
  3. Crush the cookies into large pieces in each bag with a rolling pin. Set both bags of cookies to the side.
  4. In a heavy bottomed pan, combine sweetened condensed milk, butter, white chocolate chips and salt. Heat the mixture gently with medium low heat until the butter and chocolate have just melted, stirring frequently with a silicone spatula.  (See notes for how to make this recipe in the microwave.)
  5. Turn off the heat to the fudge. Add the vanilla to the fudge mixture and stir, mixing well.
  6. Working quickly, gently fold the larger bag of crushed chocolate cookies into the fudge mixture. Immediately pour the fudge mixture into the prepared square pan. Sprinkle the remaining bag of cookie crumbs immediately over the top of the fudge.
  7. Cover the fudge with aluminum foil. Let the mixture cool completely for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator, or until firm.
  8. Remove the fudge from the pan. Slice fudge into 16 pieces and enjoy!

Notes

  • This fudge can be prepared in the microwave by melting butter, white chocolate chips, and sweetened condensed milk in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Crushing the cookies into large pieces retains texture in the fudge.
  • Work quickly when folding cookies into the fudge before pouring into the pan to ensure even distribution.
