Cool Whip Cookies
Description
Cool Whip Cookies start with a cake mix base blended with Cool Whip and egg to create a creamy, pliable dough. After chilling, the dough is scooped and rolled in powdered sugar, which helps to form a delicate outer coating during baking. The result is a tender, soft cookie with subtle sweetness enhanced by the chosen cake mix flavor.
The cookies bake at a moderate temperature until set but still soft, requiring a brief cooling period before transferring to a wire rack. Their texture remains light and slightly airy thanks to the Cool Whip ingredient, which also contributes to moistness.
These cookies can be adapted with various cake mix flavors, allowing customization for different occasions or tastes. They’re convenient for making in batches ahead of time, with options for freezing dough balls to bake fresh later or storing finished cookies refrigerated or at room temperature according to preference.
The recipe suggests experimenting by adding baking chips, candies, or themed sprinkles, providing creative flexibility to tailor texture and flavor.
