Cranberry Apple Crisp

Cranberry Apple Crisp combines tart sliced apples and fresh or frozen cranberries topped with a crumbly mixture of flour, brown sugar, oats, pecans, and cold butter. The dish bakes to a golden brown, with bubbly fruit beneath and a crunchy, buttery topping. It can be served warm with ice cream or enjoyed cold as a comforting dessert.

Description

This Cranberry Apple Crisp features peeled, cored, and thinly sliced Granny Smith apples combined with cranberries, sugar, and cinnamon. The fruit mixture is placed in a baking dish and topped with a blend of flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, chopped pecans, and cold butter mixed until crumbly.

Baking at 350°F produces a crisp golden topping that contrasts with the soft, juicy fruit beneath. Cranberries contribute tartness, balanced by the sweetness of brown sugar and cinnamon in the topping.

It is versatile for serving warm—paired with vanilla ice cream—or cold as a simple dessert. The texture contrast between the bubbling fruit and crunchy nutty topping defines the dish.
