Cranberry Christmas Cake

Cranberry Christmas Cake is a festive baked dessert featuring a batter rich with fresh whole cranberries, flour, sugar, baking powder, and melted butter. Served warm, it is accompanied by a sweet buttercream sauce, creating a moist and tangy cake perfect for holiday celebrations.

Description

This Cranberry Christmas Cake recipe blends flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, fresh whole cranberries, milk, and melted butter into a batter that thicken once baked. The cranberries provide bursts of tartness that balance the sweetness of the cake, which bakes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean, indicating proper doneness.

The accompanying buttercream sauce is made by melting butter, mixing in sugar and heavy cream, and boiling briefly to create a smooth, rich topping. This warm sauce poured over the cake enhances its moist texture and adds creamy sweetness.

This cake suits holiday occasions or cold-weather desserts, and garnishing with sugared cranberries brings added visual appeal and extra tart flavor. It is served in individual portions, allowing each to have a generous coating of buttercream sauce.
