Cranberry Orange Sweet Rolls

Cranberry Orange Sweet Rolls use refrigerated pizza dough filled with a coarsely chopped mix of fresh cranberries, brown sugar, and orange zest. Rolled into logs, sliced, and baked, the rolls emerge golden and tender with a bright citrus and tart cranberry flavor. A simple powdered sugar glaze completes the dessert with gentle sweetness.

Description

This recipe works with classic refrigerated pizza dough rolled out into a rectangle and brushed with melted butter. A filling of fresh cranberries, light brown sugar, and orange zest is pulsed to a coarse chop for even distribution and spread over the dough before rolling it into a log.

The log is sliced into individual rolls and baked until golden brown. The resulting rolls offer a soft white dough base balanced by the tart, citrusy, and sweet filling. Finishing with a glaze of powdered sugar and milk adds a creamy sweetness that complements the berries and orange zest.

The recipe suggests using Pillsbury classic pizza dough for best texture and ease. The rolls can be prepared in advance and refrigerated before baking. Once baked, they store well at room temperature for a few days or longer refrigerated, with reheating instructions provided. Freezing cooled rolls is also an option for longer storage.
