Cream Cheese Chocolate Truffles Recipe

Cream Cheese Chocolate Truffles are rich, smooth confections combining softened cream cheese and melted semi-sweet chocolate, sweetened with confectioners' sugar and a hint of vanilla liqueur. After chilling, they are rolled into bite-sized balls and coated in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, or crushed walnuts, adding contrasting textures and flavors. These truffles offer a creamy and slightly tangy bite balanced by the sweetness of chocolate and sugar, ideal as a chilled treat or elegant dessert bite.

Description

The Cream Cheese Chocolate Truffles Recipe blends softened cream cheese with confectioners' sugar before incorporating melted semi-sweet chocolate and vanilla liqueur, delivering a smooth and creamy base with a subtle, aromatic note. The mixture is chilled to firm up for easy shaping into one-inch balls. Once formed, the truffles are rolled in a choice of coatings such as cocoa powder, powdered sugar, or crushed walnuts, introducing textural variety and enhancing flavor layers.

The truffles have a creamy center with a soft yet firm texture due to the cream cheese and chilling process. Their semi-sweet chocolate component adds a balanced sweetness and richness without overpowering the tang from the cream cheese. Rolling them in nuts or powders provides a pleasant contrast in bite and appearance, making them suitable for serving as small dessert bites or party treats.

To maintain their shape and texture, it is recommended to keep the truffles refrigerated until serving. The cool temperature helps preserve the cream cheese base and keeps the chocolate firm. These truffles are best enjoyed cold as an indulgent confection.
