Cream Cheese Filled Crescent Roll Pastries

Cream Cheese Filled Crescent Roll Pastries consist of layers of buttery crescent roll dough filled with a sweetened cream cheese mixture. The assembled pastry is topped with melted butter, cinnamon sugar, and baked until bubbly and lightly browned. These pastries offer a soft, flaky texture with a creamy, sweet center and a gently spiced crust, ideal for breakfast or a dessert treat.

Description

This recipe transforms refrigerated crescent rolls into a layered sweet pastry by pressing together seams of unrolled dough for a base, spreading a mixture made from softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla on top, and then covering with another layer of crescent dough. Melted butter brushed over the top and a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar create a sweet and lightly crisp surface once baked.

When baked at 350 degrees, the rolls become golden with slight browning around the edges, and the cream cheese filling melts into a smooth, rich center. The contrast between the tender, flaky pastry and creamy filling provides a pleasant texture and flavor experience.

These pastries are best enjoyed slightly cooled and can be served plain or with a drizzle of honey to enhance the sweetness. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated carefully in an oven to maintain flakiness.
