Cream Cheese Fruit Dip

Cream Cheese Fruit Dip blends whipped heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla into a light, fluffy base, then folds in whipped cream cheese for a rich, smooth texture. The dip balances creamy sweetness and mild tang, making it a suitable accompaniment for assorted fresh fruits, enhancing their natural flavors without overpowering them.

Description

The recipe begins by whipping heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form, creating an airy foundation. Separately, cream cheese is beaten until softened, then combined with the whipped cream through gentle folding to preserve volume. This results in a velvety dip that is both luscious and light.

Its mild sweetness and creamy texture complement a variety of fresh fruits, serving as an easy dessert or snack addition. It can be served immediately or chilled to slightly firm up.

For optimal flavor, the dip is best refrigerated for about an hour before serving. Variations can include substituting vanilla extract with almond or peppermint extracts to tailor the flavor profile. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator, where the dip will keep for about a week.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ounce package cream cheese
  • fruits for serving, assorted

Instructions

  1. Place the cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Whisk the ingredients together on low speed to incorporate powdered sugar into whipping cream, about 30 seconds. Increase the mixer speed to medium-high and whisk mixture on medium-high 3-4 minutes or until stiff peaks form. Transfer to a large bowl and set aside.
  2. In the bowl of an electric mixer, place cream cheese and beat on low speed until softened.
  3. Place the cream cheese in the bowl of the stand mixer, now fitted with the paddle attachment. Beat the cream cheese on high speed until whipped, about 1 minute.
  4. Slowly add yogurt, honey and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until well combined and smooth
  5. Gently transfer the reserved whipped cream to the bowl with the whipped cream cheese. Use a large silicone spatula to gently fold the whipped cream into cream cheese, being careful not to over-mix so it stays plump.
  6. Taste for sweetness and adjust accordingly.
  7. Transfer the cream cheese fruit dip to a serving dish and serve immediately with fruits of choice, or store in an airtight container in the fridge until ready to serve.
  8. Cover the dip and chill in the fridge for an hour before serving.
  9. Serve with your favorite fruits.
