Creamy Asiago Bacon Chicken
Description
This recipe starts by searing seasoned chicken breasts or boneless thighs in a greased skillet until golden and cooked through. Garlic is sautéed briefly to release aroma before adding heavy cream to the pan. The cream is brought to a gentle boil and Asiago cheese is incorporated gradually, melting smoothly to create a flavorful, cheesy sauce balanced with salt and pepper.
Chopped bacon, cooked until nearly crisp, is stirred into the sauce halfway through cooking for smoky depth, with reserved bacon and cheese sprinkled on top at serving for texture contrast. Freshly sliced basil adds a herbal note to the finished dish.
The final dish is creamy, savory, and rich, pairing well with simple sides to soak up the sauce. It’s important to serve immediately to maintain the sauce’s texture and the chicken’s juiciness.
