Creamy Avocado Salsa

This Creamy Avocado Salsa blends roasted tomatillos, jalapeño, serrano peppers, onion, and garlic with ripe avocados, lime juice, salt, and Mexican oregano, resulting in a smooth, flavorful salsa. The roasting adds subtle charred notes, balancing the heat of the peppers, while the avocado gives it a creamy texture perfect for chips or tacos.

Description

The recipe starts by broiling tomatillos, jalapeño, serrano peppers, and onion until slightly blackened, infusing a smoky depth. After cooling, these ingredients are blended with garlic, ripe avocado, lime juice, salt, and Mexican oregano to achieve a creamy and tangy salsa with a gentle heat.

The salsa’s consistency is smooth and rich from the avocado but maintains vibrant flavors from the roasted vegetables and citrus. It pairs well served fresh with tortilla chips or as a topping on tacos to add moisture and spice.

The salsa stores well in the refrigerator for up to five days if kept air-tight. It can also be frozen for up to three months in a freezer-safe container without significant loss of flavor or texture.
