Creamy Baked Salmon Recipe

This Creamy Baked Salmon Recipe combines a fresh skin-on salmon fillet with unpeeled potato segments, seasoned with garlic, paprika, rosemary, and black pepper, then baked in layers of olive oil and cooking cream. The slow baking under foil allows the cream to infuse the fish and potatoes while keeping the salmon tender and the potatoes nearly fork-tender. The final uncovered bake creates a creamy, seasoned finish.

Description

The recipe pairs salmon fillet and cut potatoes in a single baking tray, dressed with olive oil, paprika, minced garlic, rosemary, salt, and pepper. By layering cooking cream over the salmon in stages during baking, the fish remains moist and develops a delicate, creamy coating. Baking begins covered with foil at 400°F, then finishes uncovered at 375°F to enhance the top's texture and consolidate flavors.

The use of unpeeled potatoes adds a rustic touch and retains nutrients while softening sufficiently during the cooking time. The combination of rosemary and paprika lends herby and smoky undertones complementing the salmon’s richness.

This one-dish bake works as a convenient dinner solution with integrated starch and protein. Timing and layering the cream during cooking help maintain moistness and flavor balance without overpowering the main ingredients.
