Creamy Garlic Italian Dressing

This Creamy Garlic Italian Dressing blends white or red wine vinegar with a mix of sour cream, heavy cream, and mayonnaise to create a smooth, rich texture accented by fresh garlic and herbs. The dressing is processed to combine the sharpness of vinegar and garlic with creamy elements and seasonings like parsley, oregano, and black pepper for balanced flavor. It works well as both a salad dressing and a dip when adjusted slightly.

Description

Creamy Garlic Italian Dressing uses a combination of white or red wine vinegar to provide acidity, balanced with creamy ingredients like sour cream, heavy cream, and mayonnaise for a thick, luscious consistency. Fresh garlic and garlic salt, along with parsley and dried herbs such as oregano, add aromatic and savory notes. Black pepper rounds out the seasoning for subtle heat.

The ingredients are blended until smooth, ensuring the dressing emulsifies and the flavors meld. The final texture is rich and creamy without being overly thick, making it suitable for tossing with salads or serving as a dip.

This dressing pairs well with Italian-style salads, vegetable platters, or as a sauce on grilled meats or sandwiches. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week in an airtight container.

To adapt the dressing for use as a dip, reduce the amount of heavy cream slightly to maintain thickness better suited for dipping. Using fresh garlic cloves maximizes flavor intensity.
