Meanwhile, fettuccine noodles are boiled until al dente, then drained. The Alfredo sauce is prepared by melting unsalted butter in a pan and whisking in heavy cream and cream cheese for richness. Minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper season the sauce before grated Parmesan cheese is stirred in and allowed to thicken slightly.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound Shrimp peeled, deveined and tails removed, large
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 16 ounces Fettuccine pasta noodles

Alfredo sauce

  • ½ cup butter unsalted
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese grated

Instructions

  1. In a medium sized skillet over medium high heat add 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 pound large shrimp. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Cook the shrimp 2-3 minutes until they are cooked throughout and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set aside on a plate.
  2. In a large pot bring water to a boil and add 16 ounces fettuccini noodles and cook 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain.

To make the Alfredo sauce

  1. Add ½ cup unsalted butter, 2 cups heavy whipping cream, and 4 ounces cream cheese. Cook over medium heat and whisk until melted. Add ½ teaspoon minced garlic, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon italian seasoning, ¼ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Continue to whisk until smooth. Add 1 cup grated parmesan cheese and let simmer until it starts to thicken.
  2. Add shrimp and pasta back to the sauce and toss to coat.
