Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes see note
  • 2 cups tomato sauce also called purred tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup parmesan grated
  • 1 tablespoons basil fresh, half if using dried

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil on medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, stirring for 30 seconds.
  3. Add the tomato sauce, heavy cream, and salt. Stir to combine.
  4. Bring to a simmer and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add in parmesan and fresh basil.
