Air Fryer Okra Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs gluten free
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano dried
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • salt
  • 1 egg

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350 F / 180 C.
  2. Wash the okra and pat dry.
  3. Remove the ends of the okra, but do not cut into it.
  4. In a bowl, beat the egg.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, paprika, oregano, coriander and salt.
  6. Then, dip the okra into the egg wash and let some of the excess drip off.
  7. next dip the okra into the panko mixture, turning over until well coated. Set coated okra aside on a tray or plate and continue until done.
  8. Place okra in a single layer inside the air fryer basket and cook for 5-6 mins per side. Use tongs to turn and cook for an additional 5-6 mins until done (bigger and tougher okra may take a little longer).

Notes

  • Ensure enough space between okra pieces in the air fryer basket to maintain crispiness; cook in batches if necessary.
  • Coat and cook the okra promptly to avoid sogginess from sitting in the breading.
