Crock Pot Baked Pasta with Meatballs
Description
This recipe assembles cooked ziti, frozen pre-cooked meatballs, and spaghetti sauce in a slow cooker, layering sauce, pasta, meatballs, and mozzarella cheese. The long, slow cooking softens the pasta, heats the meatballs through, and melts the cheese into a cohesive baked pasta dish. Parmesan cheese adds a finishing touch before serving.
The result is a comforting casserole with flavors of tomato sauce and melted cheese blending with tender pasta and seasoned meatballs. This dish fits well as a filling dinner, especially when paired with a fresh salad.
Since the recipe uses frozen pre-cooked meatballs and no additional preparation time for pasta cooking, it suits a slow cooker meal plan. It’s important to rinse and drain the pasta before layering to avoid excess starchiness or clumping.
