Crock Pot Candy

Crock Pot Candy combines roasted peanuts, semisweet chocolate chips, and white almond bark melted slowly in a crock pot. After cooking and mixing, the candy is dropped in dollops and topped with holiday sprinkles, then cooled until firm. The result is a festive, sweet treat with a mix of crunchy nuts and creamy chocolate coating, prepared with minimal active hands-on time.

Description

The Crock Pot Candy recipe starts by layering roasted peanuts with semisweet chocolate chips and pieces of almond bark in a crock pot. Cooking on low heat allows the chocolate and almond bark to melt gently over about 90 minutes, with a stirring midway. Once melted and well combined, spoonfuls are dropped onto parchment paper and decorated with festive sprinkles, then cooled until solid. This method yields bite-sized candies with a delightful contrast of crunchy nuts enveloped in smooth chocolate and white candy coating.

Using almond bark or white candy melts creates a creamy coating that hardens at room temperature, while the mixture of salted and unsalted peanuts balances sweetness and saltiness. Cooking in a crock pot simplifies the melting process by providing consistent low heat without risk of burning. Dropping candy by the tablespoon ensures uniform size and easy serving.

These candies make colorful treats for holiday gatherings or to share as homemade gifts. As they firm at room temperature, no refrigeration is necessary, making them convenient to prepare ahead and store at room temperature before serving.
