Crock pot cheesy chicken penne recipe

Report
This Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken Penne recipe combines tender chicken breasts, mushrooms, and onions slow-cooked in a creamy mix of chicken soup and broth. The dish finishes with cooked penne pasta, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese stirred in for a rich, comforting pasta meal that melts together in the crock pot.

Description

The Crock Pot Cheesy Chicken Penne recipe brings together chicken breast, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, thyme, mushrooms, and onions cooked slowly over 6 to 8 hours until the chicken is tender and shreddable. After shredding the chicken, cooked penne pasta, sour cream, and half the cheddar cheese are stirred in and melted, creating a creamy sauce that coats the pasta and meat. Topped with the remaining cheese and covered, the dish melts into a hearty, cheesy casserole perfect for a filling meal.

The slow cooker method allows the chicken and vegetables to infuse the sauce with savory flavors over time, while finishing with pasta ensures a cozy, one-pot style dinner. This dish pairs well with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables to balance the richness.
