Crock-pot Chocolate Cobbler
Description
This dessert cooks in a Crock-Pot set to high heat, beginning with melting butter and mixing in sugar, cocoa powder, flour, milk, and vanilla. Boiling water is then stirred in to create a batter base. A topping made from sugar and cocoa powder is sprinkled on top before covering and cooking for about four hours. The slow cooking process results in a contrast of crunchy topping and silky, smooth chocolate base.
The cobbler is served warm and is traditionally accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream, which adds a creamy cool note to the rich chocolate flavors. This no-oven recipe requires minimal active preparation and uses common pantry ingredients.
