Crock Pot Creamy Tuscan Chicken
Description
This recipe uses boneless chicken breasts as the base, slow-cooked with a jar of Alfredo sauce, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, grated Parmesan, and Italian seasoning. The ingredients combine during the cooking process to create a rich, creamy sauce with bursts of tomato and subtle herb notes. The chicken becomes tender after several hours on low heat in the crock pot.
Fresh chopped spinach is stirred in near the end of cooking to add a leafy, slightly earthy contrast to the creamy sauce without overcooking. Serving the dish over linguine allows the sauce to coat the pasta, making it a filling meal.
You can garnish with additional Parmesan cheese before serving for an extra layer of flavor. The slow cooker aspect makes it a convenient recipe to prepare ahead, with minimal active cooking time.
