Crock Pot Fudge

Report
Crock Pot Fudge is a no-bake, creamy chocolate treat made by slowly melting chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk with vanilla in a crock pot. The slow cooking allows smooth blending without burning, and once poured into a lined pan and cooled, it sets into a rich, sliceable fudge.

Description

This fudge recipe simplifies the chocolate-making process by using a crock pot to carefully melt semi-sweet chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. The slow, low-heat cooking, with regular stirring, ensures the ingredients combine into a smooth, creamy mixture without seizing or burning. Using a non-stick spray in the crock pot and lining the baking pan with greased parchment helps prevent sticking.

Once the mixture is smooth and fully combined, it is spread evenly in the lined pan and left to set at room temperature for at least two hours until firm. The fudge can then be removed from the pan and cut into pieces for serving. This method is convenient as it requires minimal active cooking and uses common ingredients.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 ounces
  • 2 bags chocolate chips 12 ounces each, semi-sweet
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Spray your crock pot insert with a non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Add all the ingredients to the crock pot.
  3. Cover the top of the crock pot with a dish towel and then put the lid on the crock pot so that the towel will soak up the extra moisture.
  4. Cook on low for 1 1/2- 2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes, until the chocolate is melted and ingredients are combined.
  5. Line a 9X9 baking pan with parchment paper.  Spray the parchment paper with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Pour the crock pot mixture into the baking dish.  Spread the mixture out evenly with a spatula and gently tap it on the counter to get out any air bubbles.
  7. Let the mixture sit for at least 2 hours until the fudge is set.
  8. Carefully remove the fudge from the baking pan by lifting up the parchment paper.
  9. Cut into pieces and then the fudge is ready to serve and enjoy!
