Crock Pot Italian Sausage Rigatoni Recipe

Report
This Crock Pot Italian Sausage Rigatoni combines ground Italian sausage, uncooked rigatoni, tomatoes, and seasonings slow cooked to meld flavors. The pasta finishes cooking in the sauce for tender noodles coated in a rich, savory mixture of sausage and tomato with melted mozzarella cheese topping.

Description

The recipe starts by browning ground Italian sausage on the stovetop, then transferring it to a slow cooker. Chopped onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth are added, creating a flavorful base. The mixture cooks on low or high heat for several hours allowing ingredients to blend and develop depth.

About 30 minutes before serving, uncooked rigatoni is stirred in. Though initially watery, the pasta absorbs the liquid as it cooks in the slow cooker until tender. Shredded mozzarella is then mixed in, melting into the sauce to add creaminess. The dish is served immediately and may be topped with Parmesan cheese if desired. The slow cooker method offers a convenient way to prepare a one-pot pasta meal that delivers balanced savory flavors and a hearty, comforting texture.
