Crock pot peach cobbler recipe

Report
This Crock Pot Peach Cobbler features canned peaches in syrup layered beneath a simple batter cooked in a slow cooker. The slow cooking creates a soft, set cobbler top with buttery richness from the melted butter base. The dessert’s texture balances tender fruit with a lightly baked crust, made convenient by the crock pot method for hands-off preparation.

Description

The recipe begins by melting butter directly in the slow cooker. A batter formed from flour, sugar, milk, baking powder, and salt is poured over the butter. The canned peaches with their syrup are spooned on top without stirring to maintain distinct layers.

Cooking on a high slow cooker setting for 1½ to 2 hours produces a cobbler where the top layer is set but still tender. Care is taken to manage condensation by placing a paper towel under the lid if necessary, to prevent excessive moisture from affecting the cobbler’s texture.

The warm peach cobbler pairs well with ice cream and offers a homey dessert requiring minimal active cooking time. It’s suited for those who want a traditional peach cobbler flavor without an oven.

Cooking times may need adjustment based on individual crock pot models, as they vary in heat output.
