Crock Pot Shrimp Scampi Recipe

Report
This Crock Pot Shrimp Scampi uses precooked frozen shrimp gently heated in butter, lemon juice, and seasonings until tender and flavorful. The shrimp are served over cooked angel hair pasta and topped with Parmesan and parsley. The slow cooker method keeps the shrimp moist and infuses them with garlic salt and bright lemon flavors without overcooking.

Description

The recipe features frozen, precooked peeled shrimp cooked in a crock pot with butter, lemon juice, black pepper, and garlic salt. The slow cooking on low or high heat gently warms the shrimp through and allows the butter and lemon flavors to meld into the seafood. Half of the Parmesan cheese is stirred in near the end of cooking to create a light sauce, while the rest accompanies the finished dish along with chopped parsley for freshness.

Once cooked, the shrimp mixture is spooned over al dente angel hair pasta, which serves as a delicate base that carries the buttery, citrus-infused shrimp. The texture remains tender, avoiding the toughness that can come from direct high-heat cooking.

The notes mention that raw shrimp can be used if preferred, adjusting the cooking time longer to ensure proper doneness. This recipe simplifies traditional shrimp scampi by using a slow cooker, making it easier to prepare without constant attention.
