Crockpot Hot Chocolate

Report
This Crockpot Hot Chocolate offers a creamy and rich warm beverage made by slowly combining milk, half and half, vanilla, hot chocolate mix, and milk chocolate bars in a slow cooker. The gentle heating melds the flavors and melts the chocolate, resulting in a smooth drink ready for serving with a variety of toppings like marshmallows, whipped cream, or syrups.

Description

The recipe combines whole milk, half and half (or heavy cream), and vanilla extract in a slow cooker, then mixes in hot chocolate mix and broken pieces of milk chocolate bars. The mixture is whisked to combine and heated on low for about two hours, allowing the chocolate to melt and infuse the milk with flavor. Stirring occasionally helps maintain a smooth consistency and avoid settling.

Once heated thoroughly, the hot chocolate can be served immediately and garnished with desired toppings such as marshmallows, whipped cream, chocolate or caramel syrup, and peppermint pieces, enhancing the visual appeal and flavor variations.

This hot chocolate is well-suited for colder days or gatherings, providing a warm, comforting drink. The slow cooker method allows for hands-off preparation and keeps the hot chocolate warm for serving over time. Doubling the recipe easily accommodates larger groups.
