Crockpot Original Taco Soup Recipe
Description
The Crockpot Original Taco Soup starts by browning ground beef and draining excess fat. The beef is combined in a slow cooker with frozen corn, black beans, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, and chicken broth. Taco seasoning, garlic salt, diced onion, and black pepper add layers of flavor and spice reminiscent of traditional taco filling.
Cooked on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, the ingredients meld and soften into a rich and savory soup. The beans, corn, and tomatoes create a thick and textured base, complementing the seasoned beef. Before serving, shredded cheddar cheese is added as a garnish which adds a creamy, melty finish.
This soup suits as a filling main course especially during colder weather, and can be topped with additional garnishes such as sour cream or tortilla chips for added texture and flavor.
