Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce
Description
The Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce starts by browning ground beef and sautéing onions, creating a flavorful base. Adding crushed and diced tomatoes ensures a chunky, robust texture, while seasonings like oregano, Italian herbs, garlic, and bay leaves deepen the flavor profile. Balsamic vinegar and maple syrup bring subtle acidity and sweetness, balancing the sauce's overall taste. Cooking the sauce slowly in a crockpot over several hours encourages a rich and harmonious blend of ingredients without stirring frequently.
This sauce is served over cooked spaghetti noodles, making it suitable for classic pasta dinners. It pairs well with grated Parmesan or crusty bread on the side.
Try adding a quarter cup of red wine to intensify flavor. You can swap Italian seasoning with fresh herbs or adjust spices during cooking. Roasting herbs before adding them boosts depth. Store any leftovers in an airtight container refrigerated for up to five days.
