Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter room temperature, unsalted
  • 2 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups oats quick cooking
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup pecans chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add butter and both sugars. Mix on medium until light and fluffy. Scrape down sides.
  3. Add in eggs and vanilla. Mix on medium until incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, add oats. Sift the flour, cinnamon, and salt into the bowl. Stir to incorporate the oats.
  5. Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Mix on low until the dry ingredients are combined. Scrap down the sides.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or a teaspoon, place 6 cookies onto the baking sheet. I made my cookies large, so I gave each one about 2 inches to spread.
  8. Place in the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before moving to the cooling rack. Place on the cooling rack to finish cooling.
