Crustless Quiche In Air Fryer
Description
The Crustless Quiche in Air Fryer combines large eggs and milk beaten together with seasonings, then folded in with diced tomatoes, chopped ham, sliced red onion, grated cheddar, self-raising flour, mixed herbs, and oregano. Cooking the quiche in an air fryer at first 180°C followed by lowering to 160°C allows the mixture to set into a firm yet light texture without the need for a pie crust. The natural moisture from the vegetables and ham helps keep the quiche moist while the cheese adds richness.
The air fryer method offers even heat circulation that creates a gently browned surface while cooking the interior through. This quiche suits breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner served alongside a simple salad or steamed vegetables. It can be varied by using different fillings to suit personal preference.
The notes suggest flexibility in ingredients, encouraging customization of the filling. It is advised to pour the batter evenly into the pie dish and check doneness with a toothpick to ensure it cooks fully without becoming soggy or dry.
