Ingredients

  • 2 pcs cucumbers use English cucumber if available
  • 1 large fuji/gala apple
  • 6-8 pieces fresh mint leaves
  • 1 pc lemon or lime juiced
  • 2 cups water
  • Ice cubes
  • sugar/honey/agave syrup if desired

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cucumber, apple and mint leaves thoroughly.
  2. Cut off the ends of the cucumbers and then cut into 1-inch thick pieces.
  3. Peel off the skin of the apple and cut the apple into quarters then cut each into halves, making 8, remove the seeds.
  4. Transfer the cucumber, apple, mint, and lemon/lime juice to a blender or food processor. Add the water and blend on high speed for 4-5 minutes or until smooth.
  5. Using a fine mesh sieve, strain the juice to remove the pulp.
  6. Transfer the cucumber juice into glasses, each filled with ½ cup of ice cubes. If desired, you add sweetener of your choice.

Notes

  • The apple serves as the sweetener but you may also add sugar, agave or honey if you like it a bit more sweet.
