Cucumber Margarita Recipe

The Cucumber Margarita blends fresh cucumber juice with classic margarita ingredients like tequila, triple sec, and lime juice, delivering a crisp and refreshing cocktail. By peeling and seeding the cucumber before juicing, the drink gains a smooth, bright flavor with a subtle vegetal note and cooling effect. The salted rim and cucumber garnish enhance the experience, making it an enjoyable variation on a traditional margarita.

Description

This Cucumber Margarita Recipe starts by peeling a large cucumber and removing its seeds to produce clear, smooth cucumber juice. The juice is extracted by blending and straining to remove pulp, ensuring a light texture in the cocktail. This juice combines with silver tequila, triple sec, and freshly squeezed lime juice, mixed over ice to chill and dilute slightly. Rimming the glass with coarse margarita salt adds a savory contrast that complements the bright, slightly sweet, and tart flavors.

The resulting cocktail is hydrating, with a delicate vegetal freshness from the cucumber balancing the citrus tang and agave notes from the tequila and triple sec. The drink is garnished simply with cucumber slices to emphasize its fresh character.

According to the notes, one English cucumber yields about one cup of juice, making enough for approximately four servings. Using fresh cucumber juice instead of mixers gives this margarita a lighter, more natural profile, ideal for warm weather or casual gatherings.
