Cute Melting Snowman Marshmallows: Best Christmas Recipe

Cute Melting Snowman Marshmallows is a festive treat created by assembling large marshmallows on graham crackers with white chocolate, then microwaving briefly to puff the marshmallows and melt the chocolate. Decorated with pretzel stick arms, sunflower seed noses, and chocolate drop eyes, these melting snowmen are topped with small marshmallow pom-poms and colorful meringue and truffle hats. The combination of textures and the visually playful presentation make this a charming holiday snack or dessert.

Description

This holiday recipe constructs snowmen using large marshmallows placed on graham crackers adorned with white chocolate drops. A short microwave session causes marshmallows to expand and the chocolate to melt slightly, producing a melting snowman illusion. Pretzel sticks serve as arms, sunflower seeds as noses, and dark chocolate drops form eyes. Small marshmallow pieces become fluffy pom-poms atop a hat made from pink mini meringues and chocolate truffles, adding whimsical festive detail.

The result combines the crunch of graham crackers and pretzels with the soft, gooey texture of melted marshmallows and chocolate. The decorative elements create an engaging festive appearance suitable for holiday gatherings or fun seasonal treats for children and adults.

These melting snowmen are best served fresh to enjoy the warm, melting texture. Powdered sugar sprinkled around enhances the snowy effect, complementing the sweet flavor profile. Slow microwaving in short intervals prevents over-expansion or burning of marshmallows, ensuring consistent results.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 4 graham crackers
  • 4 marshmallows large
  • 1 marshmallow for the pompom, small
  • 20 white chocolate drops
  • 4 sunflower seeds chocolate-covered
  • 8 dark chocolate drops
  • 2 chocolate truffles
  • 2 meringue pink, mini
  • 1-2 pretzel sticks straight

Instructions

  1. To prepare the hats, cut the small marshmallow into four pieces with scissors. Moisten them a little bit and place them on the truffles and meringues to serve as pom poms on the snowman hats.
  2. Break the straight pretzels into smaller pieces.
  3. Arrange the crackers on a plate and top each with white chocolate drops in the center.
  4. On top of the white chocolate drops, place the large marshmallow.
  5. Transfer the plate into the microwave. Microwave marshmallow snowmen for 30 seconds on high or until the marshmallows expand and the chocolate melts, creating the illusion of melting snowmen.
  6. Insert the pretzel sticks as arms, sunflower seeds as noses, and chocolate drops as eyes. Use an edible marker to draw mouths. Or you can use little drops of melted dark chocolate instead.
  7. Sprinkle powdered sugar on the serving plate. Place your melting snowmen marshmallows and crown them with the pink mini meringue and chocolate truffles as their adorable hats. For an extra festive touch, add rosemary Christmas trees.
  8. Enjoy your super cute melting snowmen and their girlfriends!

Notes

  • Microwave marshmallows in short bursts (10-15 seconds) to prevent over-expansion or burning.
