Dairy-Free Fudgesicles

Dairy-Free Fudgesicles blend ripe avocado, raw cacao powder, coconut milk, and maple syrup into a smooth, creamy popsicle mixture. The addition of cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sea salt brings depth and a subtle warmth to the chocolate flavor. These fudgesicles are frozen until firm and offer a rich, dairy-free frozen treat with an avocado-smooth texture and a balanced sweetness.

Description

This recipe combines ripe avocados with raw cacao powder, pure maple syrup (adjusted to taste), full-fat canned coconut milk, ground cinnamon, pure vanilla extract, and sea salt to create a smooth fudgesicle base. Ingredients are blended in a food processor until creamy and fully combined, ensuring a uniform chocolate flavor with a subtle hint of spice from the cinnamon and a slight salinity from the sea salt.

The mixture is poured into popsicle molds, tapped to remove air pockets, then frozen for at least three hours to set. Thawing slightly or running warm water on the mold’s exterior helps release the fudgesicles when ready to serve. These frozen treats offer a rich and creamy mouthfeel without dairy ingredients.

For a no-added sugar keto option, maple syrup can be omitted and replaced with additional coconut milk and a zero-sugar sweetener like Stevia or Swerve as needed.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 avocado large, ripe
  • 2/3 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup to taste, see note*
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk full-fat, canned
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract pure
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt sea salt

Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients for the fudgesicles to a food processor and process until completely smooth - you may need to stop the food processor to scrape the sides with a rubber spatula a few times.
  2. Spoon the fudgesicle mixture into your popsicle mold. Stir the mixture around in the molds and tap it gently on the counter to ensure the molds are completely filled and to avoid air pockets.
  3. Cover the popsicle mold with its lid and insert popsicle sticks. Freeze for at least 3 hours, until completely set up.
  4. When ready to eat, thaw the popsicles 5 to 8 minutes, or run the outside of the mold under hot water to help release the fudgesicles. Enjoy!

Notes

  • To make keto-friendly fudgesicles, omit maple syrup and use additional coconut milk plus zero-sugar sweeteners such as Stevia or Swerve.
