Dark Chocolate Crunch Bars

With a velvety chocolate base and crispy rice cereal in every bite, these dark chocolate crunch bars are impossible to resist. So easy to make too!

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal (or generic version)
  • 2 cups dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup peanut butter creamy or crunchy
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. 1. Add the chocolate chips, peanut butter, honey, and butter to a large bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir well, and then repeat until the mixture is completely melted and combined.This took me three 30 second increments, but it could vary based on your microwave's volume and power.*See notes for stovetop directions.
  2. Once melted, stir in the rice krispies cereal, working the mixture until all of the cereal is coated in the chocolate mixture.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 9x9 square baking dish or pan and smooth so that is evenly dispersed.Note: If you want to remove the bars to cut, line the pan with parchment paper that overlaps the edges to help remove the bars.
  4. Chill for 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator, then remove and cut into 9 jumbo bars, or 12 regular sized bars, or 18 mini bars.
