Date Bark

Date Bark satisfies your sweet tooth naturally. Chewy dates blend with creamy nut butter and rich dark chocolate. It's a no-bake, tasty delight packed with fiber, healthy fats and potassium. This is such a fun snack for kids and adults!

Ingredients

Servings
  • 20 dates pitted
  • ¼ cup peanut butter creamy all natural
  • ¼ cup granola
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • salt optional, sea salt

Instructions

  1. First, line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Pit the dates. Gently split the dates open. Place them touching together on the parchment paper. Press down with your hands lightly.
  3. Spread the creamy peanut butter on top.
  4. Then, add the granola on top.
  5. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Stir until completely smooth and creamy. Spread this on top.
  6. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired. Place in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes, until the chocolate has hardened.
  7. Finally, remove from the date bark freezer. Cut into pieces and enjoy! Store in the fridge.

  • Create the base layer with dates that are all touching.
  • If desired, use creamy almond butter or cashew butter.
  • Carefully melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together.  Microwave in increments, stirring to prevent burning.
  • Allow the chocolate to completely harden before breaking apart.
  • Store in the fridge or freezer for up to 1 month in an airtight container.
