Dirt Cups

Dirt Cups are a playful dessert layering chocolate pudding with crushed Oreo cookies and gummy worms. The pudding is prepared from instant mix and folded with whipped topping for a light, creamy texture. Topped with Oreo crumbs and gummy worms, the dessert mimics dirt and worms, ideal for themed parties or casual treats.

Description

Dirt Cups combine instant chocolate pudding with milk, creating a smooth and creamy base. After allowing the pudding to set for thickening, whipped topping is gently folded in to add lightness and fluffiness. The dessert is then assembled by spooning pudding into cups and topping with crushed Oreo cookies, which add a crunchy texture resembling soil.

Gummy worms placed on top provide a fun, whimsical element. The layers create a contrast in textures—the creamy pudding, crunchy cookie crumbs, and chewy candy. This no-bake dessert requires minimal preparation and is well-suited for children’s parties or casual gatherings.

It’s best to store Dirt Cups covered in the refrigerator and serve within four days for freshness. For maintaining the texture, it’s recommended to add Oreo crumbs and gummy worms just before serving if making the pudding well in advance, to prevent sogginess and candy hardening.
