Dirt Pudding Cups {Homemade Version}

Dirt Pudding Cups are playful dessert cups layering homemade chocolate pudding mixed with whipped cream and sprinkled with crushed chocolate sandwich cookies to resemble dirt. Gummy worms inserted on top complete the fun dirt cup visual. This combination yields a creamy, lightly sweet chocolate base with a crunchy cookie topping and colorful candy accents, making it a popular choice for parties or kids' treats.

Description

This recipe uses a batch of homemade chocolate pudding that is chilled and thickened before folding in sweetened whipped cream to add lightness and a smooth texture. Coarsely crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, similar to Oreos, are stirred into part of the pudding mixture for added crunch and chocolate flavor. The pudding is portioned into individual cups then topped with additional crushed cookies for a textured topping. Small gummy worms are gently pressed into the top of each to create a whimsical appearance resembling dirt and worms.

The dessert is best served chilled and can be made ahead and refrigerated until needed. The blend of creamy chocolate, airy whipped cream, crunchy cookie crumbs, and chewy candy offers variety in both texture and taste, ideal for casual gatherings or themed parties.
