Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

These Double Chocolate Chip Cookies feature a rich cocoa-infused dough combined with a generous amount of chocolate chips. The cookies bake to a soft yet slightly chewy texture with intense chocolate flavor highlighted by semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips, creating a balanced sweetness and depth.

Description

The preparation begins by creaming softened butter and sugar until fluffy, then adding eggs and vanilla extract for moisture and flavor. Dry ingredients include all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, which are mixed in to yield a chocolate dough. Chocolate chips are folded in to distribute pockets of melted chocolate throughout the cookie.

Cookies are scooped onto a greased baking sheet and baked at 350°F for 8-10 minutes. The option to top cookies with additional chocolate chips immediately after baking enhances appearance and chocolate intensity. This baking time yields cookies with tender centers and slightly crisp edges.

This recipe is straightforward yet delivers a classic chocolate cookie experience suitable for snacks or dessert. The combined cocoa and chips provide a depth of chocolate, while the texture balances softness with slight chewiness.
