Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 Bacon chopped, slices
  • 1 pork chop bone-in
  • 9 ounces dried peas
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 potato cubed
  • 1 onion finely minced, medium
  • 2 celery chopped + its leaves, roughly chopped, stalks
  • ½ celeriac cubed
  • 1 leek dark green parts removed and white parts thinly sliced
  • 2 bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Add water, peas, bay leaf, bacon and pork shop into a large pot and bring everything to a boil.

  4. Add ½ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon of pepper.
  5. Cook soup for 50 more minutes or until peas are completely cooked and soup has thickened significantly.
  6. At the same time shred the meat from the pork chop and remove the bone.
  7. Add shredded meat along with chopped Kielbasa into the soup and cook for another 10 minutes.
  8. Check for salt and pepper and add some more if needed.
  9. Serve immediately and sprinkle fresh parsley into each bowl.
  10. Enjoy!
