Easter Rice Krispie Treats
Description
Easter Rice Krispie Treats are made by melting butter with mini marshmallows to form a sticky, sweet base. The sticky marshmallow mixture is combined with crisp puffed rice cereal to provide structure and crunch. Mini chocolate candies, shaped like eggs, are gently mixed in for candy bursts throughout, and a sprinkle topping adds decorative color and a slight crunch on top.
Pressed evenly into a greased dish and allowed to set at room temperature, these bars can be cut into squares and served. The combination of textures ranges from soft and chewy marshmallow to crisp cereal and creamy chocolate centers.
